Caveat/disclaimer is that even though I’ve been familiar with mindfulness/meditation for a number of years, I have not been an avid practitioner. The general gist of the article strikes a cord with me, although I can’t accurately judge to what extent it addresses correct mindfulness or a mischaracterization and/or caricature of mindfulness that corresponds to a frequent way it is mistaught. I agree with many of these points after seeing a mindfulness based counselor for a few years. I think he avoided his feelings. I think meditation can make you detached from the good and bad, which can be a good thing but you end up feeling less. Having no feelings is worse than feeling bad sometimes.
