PKR: Chapter 3

As you may have noticed, I finally launched my latest redesign. I’ve been working on a new design for PKR since I launched the last one really. I became unsatisfied with that design pretty quickly and wanted something cleaner and more structured. After running through several versions and an unbelievable amount of color schemes, I finally had something that I thought would be worthy of putting online.

My first goal when diving into this redesign was a cleaner look and a lighter color scheme. I went with a more natural look this time. I kept some aspects of Chapter 2 including the city scape, chibi head and pkr logo. I wanted to scrap the footer and instead of games and music replaced them with latest tweets, latest Gowalla checkins and recent bookmarks on Delicious. Another addition is the ‘Social’ section with icons linking to the many social sites that I use most. I also added a more noticeable way to subscribe to my RSS feed. (more…)
