Another Weekend

Today has been an uneventful weekend so far. Yesterday I went and got my eyebrow pierced. I had it pierced in high school but let it close up (actually the spacer fell out and I didn’t notice it until it started to close). The downside of course to any piercing or tattoo is the aftercare which can sometimes be a pain. For my eyebrow I have to soak it (eye included) in water/sea salt mix for 10mins once a day. Not actually that bad. Tattoos are harder to care for with making sure they don’t dry out, get too much sun time (I have one that faded due to getting a sunburn shortly after the tat). Then we went to Wichita Falls, TX to start looking at houses. We are hoping to attempt to move to Texas within the next two weeks however if that doesn’t work then we are going in January. Going back to TX Monday to look some more and hope we find one thats decent and out price range. Would like to move this month but January isn’t that far away. We will have to wait and see. Should know for sure within the next week. (more…)

Yet Another Month

Thats right, another month has come and is just about over. May was an eventful month, I just can’t remember why. This week I’ve been working on client stuff, mainly for Danny Webb’s Photography website. Its just about done and should be online here in the next few days. El Chico’s has been a run around due to the manager is really busy and spends alot of time out of town, so its hard to get meetings with him, i’m working on it though. I have also been asked about doing a site for a local funeral home. So, i’m looking to get that one here in the next week. This weekend I will be out of town. We are going camping (rain or shine, and yes it will rain) for the weekend because Sunday is my 22nd birthday. On Monday I will be heading to Texas to spend the day with my grandma. It will be one year since my grandpa passed away so I’m going down there Monday morning and taking her out to lunch to Cheddars. My client work is calming down a little right now so I’m hoping to finally get a design to put up here soon. I have been recently asked by a highschool buddy of mine who is currently do webdesign as well in another state if I would help him out with some coding work for his clients for a little side money, so I’m hoping to get that started as well. Also, keep a look out for the next version of 2532|Gigs, it will be the best yet. The new features are amazing. Nick has finished several new features already and now I have to get started on my stuff and get it finished, plan to start next week.

Generators

Over the past several months there have been a massive amount of “Web 2.0″ generators showing up everywhere. Most of them don’t really serve a purpose but I have found one that has actually come in handy. The Ajax Load Generator has gotten a few uses out of me including the saving icon displayed on 2532|Gigs when editing the CSS for the Mini-Calendar. So, if you ever need a great ajax loading image head over to the generator. Another one I recently came across is the Stripe Generator which looks like it could come in handy for some. I normally make my own stripes (they aren’t really that hard), however its there for those who need it.
