As a post-doctoral researcher, she and studied of the John Rylands University Library of Manchester, consisting of ca. 15,000 fragments. Major publications include: R. Smithuis and P.S. Alexander (eds), From Cairo to Manchester: Studies in the Rylands Genizah Fragments (OUP 2013), a critical Hebrew edition of Abraham Abulafia's Secrets of the Torah (forthcoming) and ‘Abraham Ibn Ezra`s Astrological Works in Hebrew and Latin: New Discoveries and Exhaustive Listing’ (2006). As a new member of the project led by Dr Renate Smithuis entitled 'Catalogue of Codices, Scrolls, and Other Texts in Hebrew Script in the University of Manchester (John Rylands) Library' she will be cataloguing the documents in Hebrew script within the Library’s wider collection, whilst developing access to and actively promoting research and learning activities based on these materials. Stefania studied at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where she obtained her PhD in 2013 with the thesis 'Hebrew Bibles from the Iberian Peninsula: patronage, production and circulation between the 13th and 16th centuries'. She was awarded a PhD grant from the National Research Council of Spain, participating in the ERC starting-grant INTELEG (The Intellectual and Material Legacies of Late Medieval Sephardic Judaism) and a one-year grant within the Doctoral Fellowship Program of a European Jewish Foundation. She is currently working on the online catalogue of Jewish marriage contracts kept in Venice, within the project Nuova Biblioteca Manoscritta.
