How does the type of light affect the number of leaf stomata?

How can this be made more publicly known ?..Most people don’t have a clue what’s going on in the sky above their heads !..They say”oh !..It’s just contrails” !

How does light intensity and duration affect the rate of photosynthesis?

The Effects of pH Levels and Phosphorous on the Photosynthesis Process of Aquatic PlantsStudy the coniferous spruce tree (Picea glauca as the species of choice) by measuring its lateral and sub-lateral branch angles in order to see how it collects sunlight from various angles on its south-facing side.

Effect of different colors of light on the rate of photosynthesis.

Effects of different colors of light on the photosynthesis rate.

Green or yellow light will have the slowest rates of photosynthesis because they are reflected by the pigments in the plant.

The Effects of Different Colored Lights on Algal Oxygen ProductionPhotosynthesis Background Resources

The aim was to show that light is necessary for photosynthesis.

Our results show that different color lights definitely does have a strong direct correlation with the rate of photosynthesis/growth of a plant.
LIGHT ABSORPTION IN PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Absorption spectra showing how the different side chains in chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b result in slightly different absorptions of visible light.

However, there is still a large spectral region between 500 and 600 nm where chlorophyll absorbs very little light, and plants appear green because this light is reflected.

The Effects of Different Light Colors on Photosynthetic Rate

Effect of different colors of light on the rate of photosynthesisThe effect of different lights on plant growth: incandescent light, fluorescent light, sunlight and black light.

Effect of Different Colored Lights on Photosynthesis

Other students who did the same experiment had results that also supported that blue light was not responsible for the rate of photosynthesis. Experiments Warsh et al. 2001, Bahramzadeh et al. 2001, and Whorley and Weaver. 2002 all showed that red had much higher rates of photosynthesis than blue, but these experiments had fewer trials or shorter trials. Lots of other students also used white light as a controlled variable; this would have been a good thing to put into our experiment to give it some comparison.
