20 Days/20 Pounds | Day 3
A quick update since I did the video yesterday. After weighing myself several times this morning (I thought the scale was broken), I’ve lost 5.6lbs so far. This has put me below 300 now and well on my way to the 20lbs in 20 days.
Hey man,
Congrats on day 3, stick with it and keep us updated.
Meat would be really hard to kick out.
I haven’t drank soda in about 2 months now, switched 100% to coffee. Soda now tastes absolutely horrible and what’s great is that I’ve been slowly shaving off a bit of the gut myself.
You can do it, keep it up!
@Murlu: Thanks man. Meat has been the hardest. Sweets and soda has been pretty easy so far, filling up on water, but having a dinner with veggies is a little hard. After a few more days I don’t think I’ll have a problem with it.
I am happy to see that you sound positive about your program. You don't necessarily have to quit eating meat to achieve this goal. The most important piece of this plan is your attitude. Try to keep up the good, can-do attitude and you will undoubtedly achieve your goal. Don't set impossible goals – they are well, impossible to reach. You mention your lifestyle as being pretty much a chair/couch-bound one. Well, one thing you can try (at home at least) is to do situps, pushups and the like in the comfort and privacy of your home. If you can afford it, get a treadmill and watch TV while you are running. There is no reason you can't continue some of your lifestyle choices while continuing to lose weight. However, it would be better really to begin taking 20 minutes of your evening life to go walk! Yes, take the kids or the wife and go for an old-fashioned walk which costs nothing and gains you so much — exercise, fresh air, companionship, etc. You can add that to your equation of 20 pounds, 20 days, 20 minutes. I guarantee you, going walking with the wife will also enable you and her to have a wonderful quiet time together. Lastly, take small steps in your program and you are likely to last a long time. Take large steps and you may crash and burn again (gain back weight). Good luck.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions. We do have a treadmill at home and getting into the habit of actually using it. Depending on the weather might try to take walks more instead. Taking the kids or the dogs. Thanks again.
Hey Man,
I think your goal is totally achievable, especially his you add home workouts (light weights routines and 20minutes cardio everyday (brisk walks first…)
